Red Cedar Lake is 1841 acres, with a maximum depth of 53 feet.
It is home to Walleye, Northern Pike, Pan Fish and plenty of Bass. Lakes Hemlock and Balsam are also accessible by boat from Red Cedar Lake. Cross country skiing, ice fishing and snowmobiling are favorite winter past times of these lucky residents. Listen to the lake moan as it freezes while you are soaking in the steamy hot tub with stars above and favorite beverage in hand. Summertime offers many local events like the Bluegill Festival in Birchwood. Enjoy lunch on nearby Stout Island and take the boat to your tee time at Tagalong Golf Course. It is the Northwoods' only lakeside-access golf course.
This 3000 square ft estate was built in 1992 on 2 1/2 lake lots on the site of an old cabin. One part that was salvaged from the original cabin is the stone fireplace, that can be seen in the informal dining area. This home has had 2 owners since constructed and both have used it as a retreat only. That is why it shows little wear and tear. Inside the home, the huge log trusses and pine finishes, give the feel of a true log cabin, without the maintenance of a log structure.
